After working as a book editor in Canada and internationally as well as with the celebrated graphic designer Bruce Mau, Sara Angel founded Otherwise Editions, in 1999 to specialize in the creation and publication of innovative illustrated books. Books created by Angel include Canada: Our Century by Mark Kingwell and Christopher Moore, The Trudeau Albums by Mordecai Richler et al., Fights of Our Lives by John Duffy, The Museum Called Canada: 25 Rooms of Wonder by Charlotte Gray, Canada’s House: Rideau Hall and the Invention of a Canadian Home by Margaret MacMillan, Marjorie Harris, and Anne Desjardins in conversation with Adrienne Clarkson and John Ralston Saul, and Susur: A Culinary Biography by Susur Lee. In 2004, Angel founded Angel Editions to specialize in the creation and publication of innovative illustrated books for the international market.
